About Us

Hi Fellow Racing Enthusiast,

Our Main Aim is to create a Platform and Format for Horse Racing Ownership that will benefit everyone equally, and I believe that is exactly what we received here.

We set up Horse Racing Buddy Club , and have already two Horses in training called True Commitment & True Dreamer.

We will offer Owners the following

– Your share of the prize money from the horse for the year.
– Stable visits throughout the year & end of lease day out/party.
– Owners badge when horse is running , this is a definite for this horse as their is much less owners.
– What’s app group for owners
– Video and email updates from club agents and Brendan weekly of all the yards runners.
– If we win a race a photo of the occasion will be sent to all members as a momento.
– Reduced membership to Horse Racing Buddy & reduced rate on shares on all other horses for Horse Racing Buddy Club in the future

Over the years then the outcome will result in Racing growing as more and more owners that would never have dreamed of it, get their dreams come true. Message us regarding any of our horses as we are always here to talk. Excited to get ye all invovled.

Our Trainer

Brendan A Murphy

12 Feb 1986

Hailing from a family that has owned winners like Darkorjon who won the 1987 Irish gold cup to Porte Bonheur who won the first flight group 2 at Belmont park in 2009, it was always inevitable that the horse racing bug would get a firm grip on him. It wasn’t until mid 2014 that Brendan joined the family tradition and purchased 2 horses, one of which was a filly by the name of Aurelia Cotta who gave Brendan and his family a 24 hour period he will never forget by not only giving him his first winner but to go on 23 and a half hours later and storm home again in impressive fashion.

Having spent a lot of time working with horses over the next few years Brendan with the support of his family decided to make the life changing move into training. At the end of January 2018 Brendan took out his training licence and it wasn’t long before he got his first runner in Annie Fior who could be got as high as 80/1 placed 3rd in a very competitive handicap at Dundalk Stadium.

A promising start to what proved to be a great year for the novice trainer. The 2019 season produced some impressive stats for our trainer. 50% of the his runs finished in the prize money.

Annie Fior went from a rating of 58 to 90, won 3 races with prices available as high as 66/1,Placed in the Kilboy stakes group 2 as well as a few more handicaps and picked up prize money it a total of 12 runs.

Out of all of the horses that Brendan ran in 2019, only 1 horse failed to pick up prize money. Brendan was awarded the title of leading restricted flat trainer in Ireland 2019 which came as no surprise to many people after the season he had.

For 2020 Brendan has in excess of 30 horses in his care and has high Hope’s for several of his mounts wish eyes firmly set on a lot of pattern races like the 2000 Guineas.

When asked about having Horse Racing Buddy Club on board he was very enthusiastic saying “the most important thing for us as a team is results and public support, we are delighted to have a club like this with a large number of members onboard. We do this job for the trill, the buzz and the excitement. Its nearly impossible to make a living out of training horses and it’s the glory that keeps us going”

Brendan went on to joke “If any trainer claims not to be a glory hunter they are telling lies”

When asked about what is on offer for owners in his yard he said ” we will be organising open days through out the year where members will be invited to visit and experience first hand what happens in horse training facilities and hopefully we will hold a mid summer bbq for owners to enjoy a day with us and their horses. As well as tickets to the races on the day there horse will run and we will also run competitions with Horse Racing Buddy to be part of the big race days we attend”.
